TEXTILE DESIGNER

We are searching for a

Textile Designer

Textile designers will craft two-dimensional designs for knit, weave, and printed fabric products.

They will work as a part of our design team, with responsibilities ranging from creating designs and samples for customer presentation, liaising with various stakeholders to develop designs, using CAD software for design development, to experimenting with colour, fabric, and texture.

They must stay current with new techniques and trends, potentially sourcing materials at trade fairs and maintaining business networks. Essential tasks include managing projects to ensure timely completion, attending trade shows, and, for those self-employed, handling marketing, finances, and business administration.

Textile designers should hold experience within the industry and show proficiency in textile works.

MERCHANDISER

MA Tradex is looking for an experienced Merchandiser to generate sales by assisting with point-of-purchase and shelf management. You will receive the correct product at the correct time, place, quantity, and price.
You will be planning and creating merchandising strategies that balance customer expectations and the company’s goals, analyzing sales data to forecast product demand and plan product ranges/stock, increase customer interest and sales by properly displaying products, monitoring stock movement, and considering markdowns, promotions, price changes, and clearance sales.
We would like a candidate with proven experience in a sales or merchandising role, who also has good verbal and written communication skills. You will also need to stay up to date in new merchandising trends to help the business stay ahead in the highly competitive market we operate in.
